If you have a general question about COVID-19, please call the DHEC Care Line at
1-855-472-3432 between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., seven days a week. Messages left after hours will be returned.
SC, like all states, currently has limited supply of COVID-19 vaccine. Some locations may not have an appointment available for several weeks, depending on their vaccine supply. Facilities receive doses of vaccine each week from the federal government.
DHEC’s testing sites currently offer pain-free testing that is free of charge for everyone.

According to Resources to Recover, approximately 4.8 million adults in SC suffer with a mental illness.
There has been significant progress in the development of TeleHealth and treatment of Mental Health in SC over the past several years. Since the onset of COVID-19, those two sectors have overlapped, resulting in great benefits for patients. As Chair of the House Ways and Means Healthcare subcommittee, I'm extremely proud of these accomplishments.
SC is one of four states to have a Dementia Coordinator, which uses federal dollars for dementia, Alzheimer’s, and other mental disabilities, in addition to funding counselors at our public schools.
